(Sodium arsenate)
Nasal catarrh with headache, pain at root of nose, dry and painful eyes. Nose is runny with watery discharge and crusting.

Natrum carbonicum
(Sodium carbonate)
Great debility caused by summer heat; chronic effects of sunstroke; exhaustion; anaemic; milky, watery skin; very weak ankles, are all peculiar Natrum carbonicum conditions.


Troubles of external nose which may attain a morbid size-pimples and puffiness. Colds. Constant coryza; obstruction of nose. Catarrh; bad smell of nasal secretion. Posterior nasal catarrh. Hawking much mucus from throat; worse, slightest draught.

Dry cough.


Headaches from slightest mental exertion, worse from sun.

 Headaches with return of hot weather. Vertigo from exposure to sun.


Skin problems. Freckles, yellow spots, pimples, eruptions.


Very weak digestion.

 

Natrum muriaticum
(Sodium chloride/Table salt)
A main tissue/cell salt. Colds: Violent, fluent coryza, clear nasal discharge, sneezing colds, cough, fever, chills. Dry mucous membranes. Swellings. Blinding headache. Headache in school children. Eye, ear, and nose problems. Loss of smell and taste. Ringing/roaring in ears.

Skin: Greasy. Eczema, hives. Fever blisters. Hangnails. Crusty eruptions in bends of limbs, margin of scalp, behind ears. Numbness and tingling. Warts on palms. Palms hot and perspiring.

Debility. Great weakness and weariness. Anemia. Addison's disease. Gout. Gland disorders, goitre, diabetes. Indigestion. Sweats while eating. Fluid retention, edema dropsy.

Psychic causes of disease; ill effects of grief, fright, anger, etc. Depression. Irritability.

 

Natrum phosphoricum
(Sodium phosphate)
A main tissue/cell salt. Natrum phosphoricum is the remedy for conditions arising from excess of lactic acid, often resulting from too much sugar. Ailments, with excess of acidity. Sour eructations and taste. Sour vomiting. Greenish diarrhœa. Yellow, creamy coating at the back of the roof of mouth and tongue. Inflammation of any part of the throat, with sensation of a lump in throat. Flatulence, with sour risings. Colic. Cracking of joints. Jaundice. Oxaluria.

Indigestion, dydpepsia, nausea, vomiting, flatulence. Insomnia from indigestion. Rheumatism, gout. Jaundice. Nervous irritability. Skin problems, itchy ankles, hives. Sore throat. Canker sores. Mouth ulcers. Blisters on tip of tongue. Bad breath. Discharge of golden-yellow, creamy matter from the eyes. Dilation of one pupil. Whites of eyes dirty yellow. Blood acidity.

 

Natrum sulfuricum
(Sodium sulphate)
A main tissue/cell salt. This salt does not appear in the cells, only in the intercellular fluid. It aids and regulates the elimination of superfluous water.

A liver remedy, especially indicated for those living in damp houses, basements, cellars. They are worse in rainy weather, water in any form. Feels every change from dry to wet; cannot even eat plants growing near water, nor fish. Always feels best in warm, dry air. Liver disorders, biliousness, hepatitis.

Clinically, it has been found a valuable remedy for spinal meningitis, head symptoms from injuries to head, mental troubles therefrom. Headache, vertigo. Eye/ear/nose problems/pain with yellow discharge. Photophobia.

Every spring, return of skin affections, jaundice, eruptions, warts, dermatitis. Tendency to warts. Fingers and toes affected. Chronic gout.

Colds/flu, catarrh, cough. Rheumatism. Diabetes.

Indigestion, nausea, sour vomiting, diarrhea, flatulence, colic, heartburn. Brown, bitter coating on tongue. Waste elimination problems, loose morning stools, great size of the fecal mass.

 

Nux vomica
(Poison nut)
Hangover, upset stomach, nausea, vomiting, flatulence, colic, constipation, hemorrhoids.

Headache. Irritability, nervousness, anxiety. Vertigo with momentary loss of consciousness. Headache from sunshine. Cannot bear noises, odors, light, etc. Overuse of coffee/other stimulants. Trembling. Sleep disorders, insomnia.

Stuffy colds. Coryza: fluent in daytime; stuffed up at night and outdoors; or alternates between nostrils.

 

Oxalicum acidum
(Oxalic acid)
Sluggish digestion, gastroenteritis, motor paralysis, collapse, stupor. Severe stomach pain/abdominal cramps. Colic. Bowel disorders. Arrested function of liver, spleen.

Influences the spinal cord, neuralgia, neurasthenia, backache, headache.

Breathing and heart irregularities. Spasmodic symptoms of throat and chest. Shortness of breath. Loss of voice. Rheumatism of left side. Angina pectoris. Tuberculosis.

 

Paeonia officinalis
(Peony)
Anal/rectal burning, itching, pain, swelling, fissures, hemorrhoids, ulcers.

Chronic ulcers on lower parts of body, leg, foot, toe, also breast, rectum.

Varicose veins.

 

Passiflora incarnata
(Passion flower)
An efficient anti-spasmodic. Whooping-cough. Morphine habit. Delirium tremens. Convulsions in children; neuralgia. Has a quieting effect on the nervous system. Trembling. Spasms Hysteria; puerperal convulsions. Acute mania. Atonic condition generally present. Asthma.

Insomnia, produces normal sleep, no disturbance of cerebral functions. Sleep is restless and wakeful, resulting from exhaustion. Especially in the feeble, infants and the aged. Insomnia of infants and the aged, and the mentally worried, and overworked, with tendency to convulsions. Nocturnal cough.

Nervousness, agitation. Neuroses of children, teething.

Tetanus. Headache, violent ache as if top of head would come off, eyes feel as if pushed out. Painful diarrhea.

 

Phosphoricum acidum
(Phosphoric acid)
Mental debility/nervous exhaustion. Mental stress, grief, shock. Delirium. Headache. Loss of vital fluids.

The common acid "debility" is very marked in this remedy, producing a nervous exhaustion. Mental debility first; later physical. A congenial soil for the action of Phos acid is found in young people who grow rapidly, and who are overtaxed, mentally or physically. Whenever the system has been exposed to the ravages of acute disease, excesses, grief, loss of vital fluids, we obtain conditions calling for it. Heartburn, flatulence, diarrhea, diabetes, and periosteal inflammation. Neurosis in stump, after amputation. Hemorrhages in typhoid. Useful in relieving pain of cancer.

 

Phosphorus
(Phosphorus)
Symptoms of sinus allergies/flu. Nasal inflammation and nosebleed. Nasal and chest congestion. Deep, dry cough. Sore throat. Hoarseness. Vertigo. Indigestion. Severe hunger. Ill effects of iodine. Excessive use of salt. Sensitive smell. Difficult hearing. Cataract. Liver disorders/hepatitis. Mucous membranes, mouth ulcers. Nerves/fear/fear of death. Sadness. Hemorrhages/bleeding.

Phosphorus irritates, inflames and degenerates mucous membranes, irritates and inflames serous membranes, inflames spinal cord and nerves, causing paralysis, destroys bone, especially the lower jaw and tibia; disorganizes the blood, causing fatty degeneration of blood vessels and every tissue and organ of the body and thus gives rise to hemorrhages, and haematogenous jaundice.

Produces a picture of destructive metabolism. Causes yellow atrophy of the liver and sub-acute hepatitis. Tall, slender persons, narrow chested, with thin, transparent skin, weakened by loss of animal fluids, with great nervous debility, emaciation, amative tendencies, seem to be under the special influence of Phosphorus. Great susceptibility to external impressions, to light, sound, odors, touch, electrical changes, thunder-storms. Suddenness of symptoms, sudden prostration, faints, sweats, shooting pains, etc. Polycythemia. Blood extravasations; fatty degenerations, cirrhosis, caries, are pathological states often calling for Phosphorus. Muscular pseudo-hypertrophy, neuritis. Inflammation of the respiratory tract. Paralytic symptoms. Ill effects of iodine and excessive use of salt; worse, lying on left side. Tertiary syphilis, skin lesions, and nervous debility. Scurvy. Pseudo-hypertrophic paralysis. Ataxia and adynamia. Osteomyelitis. Bone fragility.

 

Phytolacca decandra
(Pokeroot)
Glandular swellings/inflammations. Tonsillitis/laryngitis/tracheitis. Aching, stiffness, soreness. Restlessness. Acts on scar tissue. Chronic rheumatism. Sore throat, quinsy, and diphtheria. Tetanus and opisthotonos. Mastitis.

Aching, soreness, restlessness, prostration, are general symptoms guiding to Phytolacca. Pre-eminently a glandular remedy. Glandular swellings with heat and inflammation. Has a powerful effect on fibrous and osseous tissues; fasciae and muscle sheaths. Decrease of weight. Retarded dentition.

 

Plumbum metallicum
(Lead)
Sclerosis. Muscle cramps/paralysis. Multiple sclerosis.
Arteriosclerosis. Heart weakness. Hypertension. Cerebral vascular disease. Anemia. Gout. Proteinuria.
Loss of/weak memory. Slow perception and thinking. Tinnitus.
Constipation. Excessive colic, radiating to all parts of body. Chronic nephritis. Tenesmus of bladder.

The great drug for general sclerotic conditions. Lead paralysis is chiefly of extensors, forearm or upper limb, from center to periphery with partial anesthesia or excessive hyperesthesia, preceded by pain. Localized neuralgic pains, neuritis. The blood, alimentary and nervous systems are the special seats of action of Plumbum. Haematosis is interfered with, rapid reduction in number of red corpuscles; hence pallor, icterus, anaemia. Constrictive sensation in internal organs.

Delirium, coma and convulsions. Hypertension and arteriosclerosis. Progressive muscular atrophy. Infantile paralysis. Locomotor ataxia. Excessive and rapid emaciation. Bulbar paralysis. Important in peripheral affections. The points of attack for Plumbum are the neuraxons and the anterior horns. Symptoms of multiple sclerosis, posterior spinal sclerosis. Contractions and boring pain. All the symptoms of acute. Nephritis with amaurosis and cerebral symptoms. Gout.

 

Podophyllum peltatum
(May apple)
Diarrhea. Biliousness. Liver problems. Indigestion, abdominal/gastric/hypogastric/colicky pain, sour belching, nausea, bilious vomiting. Headache.

Podophyllum is especially adapted to persons of bilious temperament. It affects chiefly the duodenum, small intestines, liver, and rectum. Podophyllum disease is a gastroenteritis with colicky pain and bilious vomiting. Stool is watery with jelly-like mucus, painless, profuse. Gushing and offensive. Many troubles during pregnancy; pendulous abdomen after confinement; prolapsus uteri; painless cholera morbus. Torpidity of the liver; portal engorgement with a tendency to hæmorrhoids, hypogastric pain, fullness of superficial veins, jaundice.

 

Prunus spinosa
(Blackthorn)
Fatigue. Toothache. Headache. Neuralgias.

Swollen ankles/feet. Other edemas/dropsies.

Urination problems. Tenesmus of bladder. Ineffectual effort to urinate. Hurriedly impelled to urinate; the urine seems to pass as far as glans, and then returns and causes pain in urethra. Neuralgic dysuria. Must press a long time before urine appears.

 

Pulsatilla
(Wind flower)
The disposition and mental state are the chief guiding symptoms to the selection of Pulsatilla. It is pre-eminently a female remedy, especially for a mild, gentle, yielding disposition. Sad, crying readily; weeps when talking; changeable, contradictory. The patient seeks the open air; always feels better there, even though he is chilly. Mucous membranes are all affected. Discharges thick, bland, and yellowish-green. Symptoms ever changing. Thirstless, peevish, and chilly. Great sensitiveness.

Sadness, weeping. Headache from overwork.

Irritation/inflammation of mucous membranes. Colds with nasal and chest congestion. Eye and ear problems such as pain, itching, burning, discharges, styes, difficult hearing. Loss of smell/taste. Dry mouth, without thirst. Indigestion. Chilliness.

 

Quercus robur
(Oak)
Alcohol abuse. Antidotes effects of Alcohol. Vertigo. Deafness, with noises in head. Takes away craving for alcoholics.

Cough. Shortness of breath/bronchial asthna. Sore throat. Edema.

Chronic spleen affections; spleen-dropsy. Gout.

A passing diarrhea often appears for a time when using it.

 

Rauwolfia serpentina
(Indian snakeroot)
Hypertension.

Nasal congestion.

Cough.

Colic.

Pale skin.

 

Rhus toxicodendron
(Poison ivy)
Skin disorders, eczema, hives, red, swollen, burning, itching.

Rheumatic pains and stiffness. Joint pain. Rhus affects fibrous tissue markedly-joints, tendons, sheaths-aponeurosis, etc, producing pains and stiffness. Post-operative complications. Tearing asunder pains. Motion always "limbers up" the Rhus patient, and hence he feels better for a time from a change of position. Ailments from strains, overlifting, getting wet while perspiring. Pains tearing in tendons, ligaments, and fascia.

Mucous membrane affections. Eye/ear/nose pain and inflammation. Flu symptoms, typhoid type of fever. Sore throat/gums/tongue.

Extreme restlessness, with continued change of position. Great apprehension at night, cannot remain in bed. Headache in occiput. Indigestion. Nervousness. Irregular heartbeat, palpitations. Trembling and palpitation when sitting still.

Septic conditions. Septicaemia.

 

Rosmarinus officinalis
(Rosemary)
Weak memory.

Hair loss.

Circulatory tonic.

Strengthens delicate blood vessels. Improves blood flow to pelvic area. Menses too early; violent pains followed by uterine hemorrhage.

Dysmenorrhea.

Lower back pain.

Prostate problems.

Stimulates the reproductive organs.

Headache due to nerves. Head heavy, drowsy. Nervousness. restlessness, insomnia, and nervous depression. Nerve tonic.

Digestive tonic. Flatulence. Liver, gallbladder.

 

Ruta graveolens
(Rue-bitterwort)
Tendonitis. Strains, sprains, bruises of muscles, tendons, bones. Trauma from repetitive motion. Eyestrain. Headache. Debility. Constipation. Cancer of lower bowel.

Acts upon the periosteum and cartilage, eyes and uterus. Complaints from straining flexor tendons especially. Tendency to the formation of deposits in the periosteum, tendons, and about joints, especially wrist. Over strain of ocular muscles. All parts of the body are painful, as if bruised. Sprains (after ARNICA). Lameness after sprains. Jaundice. feeling of intense lassitude, weakness, and despair. Injured "bruised" bones.

 

Sabadilla
(Cevadilla seed)
Flu/hay fever/cold symptoms. Chilliness. Sore throat.

Headache and insomnia from thinking. Vertigo. Eyelids red, burning. Lachrymation/shedding tears/tearing. Hearing difficult.

Spasmodic sneezing, with running nose. Coryza, with severe frontal pains and redness of eyes with tears/watering. Copious, watery, nasal discharge.

Spasmodic pain in stomach with dry cough and difficult breathing. No thirst.

Dry skin. Thickened nails, horny, deformed.

 

Sabina
(Savine)
Arthritic pain in joints, inflammation, joint stiffness. Gout.
Uterine pain. Heavy menstruation.
Cannot stand music.
Warts. Black pores in skin.

Has a special action on the uterus; also upon serous and fibrous membranes; hence its use in gout. Pain from sacrum to the pubis. Hemorrhages, where blood is fluid and clots together. Tendency to miscarriage, especially at third month. Violent pulsations; wants windows open.

 

Salicylicum acidum
(Salicylic acid)
Indigestion. Canker sores, with burning soreness and fetid breath. Flatulence; hot, sour belching. Putrid fermentation. Fermentative dyspepsia. Putrid/foul-smelling diarrhea. Anal itching.

Meniere's disease. Tinnitus/roaring and ringing in ears. Deafness/loss of hearing. Vertigo. Headache/piercing pain in temples.

Rheumatism.

Prostration after influenza. Hematuria.

 

Sambucus nigra
(Black elder)
Acts especially on the respiratory organs. Dry coryza of infants, snuffles, edematous swellings. Profuse sweat accompanies many affections.

Excessive perspiration.

Dry cough. Dry colds with thick mucous in throat. Nasal inflammation. Sinusitis and allergy symptoms, head and nose congestion.

Indigestion, nausea, flatulence, colic, diarrhea.

Frontal headaches, fretfulness/irritability.

 

Selenium metallicum
(Selenium metal)
Selenium is a constant constituent of bones and teeth. Marked effects on the genito-urinary organs, and often indicated in elderly men, especially for prostatitis and sexual atony. Great debility; worse, heat. Easy exhaustion, mental and physical, in old age. Debility after exhausting diseases.

Great mental and physical debility (in the aged especially). Extreme sadness. Loss of sexual power in men.

Prostate and liver problems. Chronic liver affections; liver painful, enlarged, with fine rash over liver region.

Hair loss. Hair falls out from head, brows, beard, and genitals.

Hoarseness. Cough.

Sleep prevented by pulsation in all vessels, worse abdomen.

Skin eruptions. Acne, blackheads.

 

Sepia
(Cuttlefish ink)
Menstrual and uterine disorders. PMS, cramping. Change of life. Hot flashes at menopause with weakness and perspiration.

Headaches/migraines. Vertigo. Indifference. Very sad. Irritable. Hair loss.

Acid indigestion. Nausea. Constipation. Flatulence. Liver sore and painful.

Backache. Chills. Weakness in small of back. Pains extend into back. Coldness between shoulders. Feels cold even in warm room.

 

Silicea
(Silica/Flint/
Quartz/Silicic oxide)
A main tissue/cell salt. Dissolves scar tissue. Promotes expulsion of foreign bodies from tissues. Promotes suppuration, pus formations/discharges.

Flu, bronchitis, fever, cold abscesses. Inflammation, boils, styes.

Cleanser and eliminator. Promotes hair, skin, nails, bones, and perspiration.

Weakness. Poor digestion. Constipation. Fissures and hemorrhoids, painful, with spasm of sphincter.

Otitis, roaring in ears. Loss of smell. Headaches, vertigo.

Want of grit, moral or physical. Faint-hearted, anxious.

 

Solidago virgaurea
(Golden rod)
Kidney disorders, proteinuria, blood/slime in urine, stones. Bright's disease.
Pain in region of kidneys, with dysuria. Backache of congested kidneys. Kidneys sensitive to pressure.
Urine difficult, scanty, clear, and offensive.

Repeated colds, weakness, chilliness alternating with heat; naso-pharyngeal catarrh, burning in throat, pains in limbs and thoracic oppression.
Nose and chest congestion/inflammation. Bronchitis, cough with much purulent expectoration. Continuous dyspnea.
Asthma, with nightly dysuria. Hay-fever when Solidago is the exciting cause.

Itchy skin blotches.

 

Spongia tosta
(Roasted marine sponge)
A remedy especially marked in the symptoms of the respiratory organs, cough, croup, etc. Great dryness of all air-passages. Hoarseness. Larynx dry, burns, constricted. Cough, dry, barking, croupy. Respiration short, panting, difficult.

Exhaustion and heaviness of the body after slight exertion, with rush of blood to chest, face. Heart affections. Rapid and violent palpitations with dyspnea.

Anxiety and difficult breathing. Awakes in a fright, and feels as if suffocating. Attacks of heat with anxiety.

Sore throat. Dry colds. Bronchial catarrh, with wheezing, asthmatic cough. Laryngitis. Swelling and induration of glands. Eyes water. Tongue dry. Excessive thirst, great hunger. Cannot bear tight clothing around trunk. Hiccough.

 

Stannum metallicum
(Tin)
Chief action is centered upon the nervous system and respiratory organs. Debility is very marked when Stannum is the remedy, especially the debility of chronic bronchial and pulmonary conditions, characterized by profuse mucopurulent discharges. Pains that come and go gradually, call unmistakably for Stannum.

Sadness, anxiety, nervousness. Discouraged. Dread of seeing people. Headache.

Hoarseness. Talking causes a very weak feeling in the throat and chest. Much adhesive mucus, difficult to detach, expelled by forcible cough. Difficult breathing, colds/flu, bronchitis, congestion. Respiration short, oppressive. Obstinate acute coryza and influenza. Hectic fever. Exhausting night-sweats.

Stomach/abdominal pain. Colic, relieved by hard pressure.

Paralysis, paralytic weakness; drops things. Ankles swollen. Limbs suddenly give out when attempting to sit down. Dizziness and weakness when descending. Spasms, spasmodic twitching of muscles of forearm and hand. Fingers jerk when holding pen. Typewriters' paralysis. Neuritis, neuralgia. Chronic arthritis.

Cirrhosis. Hydrocephaly. Blood and lymph formation.

 

Staphysagria
(Stavesacre)
Nervousness, irritability. Ill effects of anger and insults. Impetuous, violent outbursts of passion, hypochondriacal, sad. Migraines.

Problems of genitourinary tract. Frequent and painful urination, urethritis, sensitive genitals. Lacerated tissues. Sphincters lacerated or stretched.

Teeth and mouth problems, toothache, bleeding gums.

Eczema, styes, warts. Itching of skin.

Craving for tobacco.

 

Stellaria media
(Chickweed)
Induces a condition of stasis, congestion, and sluggishness of all functions/organs. Morning aggravation. Constipation.

Sharp, shifting, rheumatic pains in all parts very pronounced. Rheumatism; darting pains in almost every part; stiffness of joints; parts sore to touch; worse, motion. Chronic rheumatism. Shifting pains. Psoriasis. Enlarged and inflamed gouty finger joints.

 

Strychninum
(Alkaloid of nux vomica/Strychnine)
Muscle spasms, cramps, tremors, tetany. Limbs stiff. Rheumatism with stiff joints. Violent jerking, twitching, and trembling. Tetanic convulsions and opisthotonos; spasms provoked by slightest touch and attempt to move. Shocks in the muscles. Cramp-like pains.

Indigestion, pain, vomiting. Sharp pain in abdominal muscles, griping pain in bowels. Involuntary evacuation of bladder/bowels.

Nervousness, irritablity, oversensitivity. Restless. Full and bursting headache, with heat in eyes. Vertigo, with roaring in ears. Jerking of head forwards. Scalp sore. Itching of scalp and nape.

Its primary function is to stimulate the motor centers and the reflex action of the spinal cord. Homeopathic to spasms of muscles, cramps from an undue reflex excitability of the cord, spasms of the bladder, etc. Strychnin stimulates the central nervous system, mental activities, special senses rendered more acute. Respiration increased. All reflexes are made more active. Stiffness in muscles and face and neck. Opisthotonos. Tetanic convulsions with opisthotonos. The muscles relax between paroxysms; worse slightest touch, sound, odor. Influences more directly the spinal cord and is less appropriate in visceral derangements than Nux. Tetanus. Explosive nervousness. The pains and sensations come suddenly and return at intervals.

 

Sulphur
(Sublimated sulphur/Brimestone)
Skin problems. Inflammation/fever associated with itching/burning skin. Pustular eruptions/eczema, acne, boils, rashes, styes, ulcers. Ebullitions of heat, dislike of water, dry and hard hair and skin, red orifices.

Great acidity. Milk disagrees. Sinking feeling at stomach.

Enuresis. Constipation. Itching, redness, and burning of anus. Hemorrhoids.

 

Symphytum officinale
(Comfrey)
Bone pain/trauma/fractures/healing including especially blows to the eye.

Pain in eye after a blow of an obtuse body. For traumatic injuries of the eyes, no remedy equals this.

Tendons, ligaments, and joints in general. Neuralgia of knee.

 

Syzygium jambolanum
(Jambol seeds)
Diabetes mellitus. A most useful remedy in diabetes mellitus.

No other remedy causes in so marked degree the diminution and disappearance of sugar in the urine. Prickly heat in upper part of the body; small red pimples itch violently. Great thirsts, weakness, emaciation.

 

Tabacum
(Tobacco)
Motion/sea sickness. Sick headache, vertigo on opening eyes, nausea, vomiting, icy coldness, sweat. Giddiness, death-like pallor.
Insomnia with dilated heart and cold, clammy skin with anxiety.
Very despondent.

Complete prostration of the entire muscular system. Collapse. Legs and hands icy cold; limbs tremble. Gait shuffling, unsteady. Feebleness of arms.

Gastric/abdominal pain. Gastralgia, enteralgia, colic. Cold, but wants abdomen uncovered. Chills, with cold sweat.

Bronchial asthma. Dyspnea. Difficult, violent constriction of chest. Cough followed by hiccough. Cough dry, teasing; must take a swallow of cold water.

Heart irregularities. Hypertension, arteriosclerosis, angina pectoris, palpitations, intermittent pulse.

Gastric headaches. Sensation of great heat on top of head. Sternomastoid muscle very painful to touch.

A remedy of first importance in chronic nasal catarrh with atrophy; large, offensive crusts. Ozena. Loss of sense of smell. Dry cough, tickling in trachea; moldy taste in throat when hawking up mucus; expectoration profuse.

Itching of anus, constant irritation in the evening with nightly restlessness. Crawling in rectum after stool.

Restlessness from itchy skin.

Pus in urine. Proteinuria.

Neuralgia of head (first right, then left side), with veil before eyes. Sensation as of gauze before eyes. Muscular weakness of the eye with hemorrhage of thin, pale blood. Migraines. Confusion, with dimness of vision. Melancholy, nervousness, vertigo, hysteria. Much sneezing, with fluent coryza/colds, runny nose. Nosebleeds. Toothache.

Intense sore feeling about uterus; bearing-down, with hot sweat, but without relief. Much slimy leucorrhœa when walking. Soreness and redness of external genitals. Pelvic inflammation, tympanites, abdominal tenderness and hot sweat which does not relieve. Puerperal metritis.

 

Urtica urens
(Stinging nettle)
Seafood/shellfish and other allergies. Insect bites/stings. Urticaria/hives. Itching blotches, burning skin, sunburn. Burns and scalds. Chicken pox. Formication.

Rheumatism associated with urticaria-like eruptions/alternates with nettlerash. Neuritis. Gout, uric acid. Pain in ankles, wrists, deltoid muscle.

Vertigo, headache with spleen pains. Fever. Fatigue. Anemia. Weakness.

Earache from exposure to drafts and cold.

Hysterical spasms and affections generally, flatulence and cramps. Hunger, nausea, faintness. Heartburn. Diarrhea. Spasms in bowels.

Rheumatic pains in limbs. Constant jerking. Heaviness. Sciatica.

Fever, with long lasting heat and often with sweat on face. Heat predominates. Sensation of icy coldness.

 
Veratrum album
(White hellebore)
Collapse, with extreme coldness, blueness, and weakness. Cold perspiration on the forehead with nearly all complaints. Vomiting, purging, and cramps in extremities. The profuse, violent retching and vomiting is most characteristic. Excessive dryness of all mucous surfaces.

Hoarse, weak voice. Cough on entering warm room from cold air.

Voracious appetite. Thirst for cold water, but is vomited as soon as swallowed. Copious vomiting and nausea; aggravated by drinking and least motion. Great weakness after vomiting. Cold feeling in stomach and abdomen. Abdominal pain, cramps, Diarrhea, very painful, watery, copious, and forcibly evacuated, followed by great prostration.

Cold sweats. Blue, cold, clammy, inelastic skin. Cramps in extremities.

Heart stimulant. Toothache.

 

Vespa crabro
(Wasp)
Vasomotor symptoms of skin and mucous membranes. Swelling and soreness of upper arms. Perspiration with itching of parts laid on.

Vertigo. Dizzy, better lying on back. Fainting. Loss of feeling/numbness and blindness. Sore throat.

Face painful and swollen. Edema of conjunctiva of the eyes. Swelling of mouth and throat with violent burning pains. Inflammation, stinging, burning, itching, soreness, of face, mouth, eyes.

Nausea and vomiting, followed by creeping chills from feet upward. Cramping pain in bowels.

Burning and itching during urination.

Boils. Intense itching of skin, burning, stinging and soreness. Erythema.

Rheumatism. Gout. Neuralgia especially sciatica. Tearing pains. Spinal pains.
